what’s a mining electric locomotive : The mining electric locomotive is a kind of rail transportation equipment, but it is mainly used in mine transportation. Due to the different size of the roadway, it can be used as a main roadway transportation tool or an auxiliary transportation tool. It is mainly used for the transportation of ore, materials and manpower on the road where the track is laid. It is usually used in conjunction with equipment such as mine carts, flatbed trucks and people’s vehicles.

 Mining Dual Power Electric locomotive(battery-trolley)

 
 
The mining dual power electric locomotive is a equipment that can be powered by two sources of power. One is the battery and another is the overhead wire. When the locomotive is running in the roadway with overhead lines, the power supply can be directly supplied by the overhead lines, and when running in the roadway without the overhead lines, the battery power supply device can supply power.

Structures

The components of the battery electric locomotive include mechanical parts and electrical parts.

The mechanical parts include frame, wheel set, reduction box, etc. The electrical part includes driver controller, power supply device, DC traction motor and etc

Working principle

The electric locomotive provides DC power through the battery, and enters the motor through the  plug, driver controller, resistance box, etc., thereby driving the motor to run. The motor drives the wheels to rotate through the transmission device, and finally can pull the locomotive to operated.

Advantages

There is no danger of sparking and detonation, and it is suitable for use in mines with gas; no wiring is required, and it is flexible to use.

Battery power type

Lithium battery and lead acid battery type.

The advantages of lithium battery is maintenance-free, quick charger 2-3 hours and no pollution, long service life up 5-8 years

Mining Trolley locomotive

Compared with the battery type locomotive, the trolley locomotive have a narrow range use. It mainly used in the mines without gas emissions, suitable for a long distance transportation.

Structures

The mechanical parts include frame, wheel set, reduction box, etc.

The electrical part includes driver controller, pantograph,  traction motor and etc

Working principle

After the pantograph is in contact with the overhead line, it provides power for the trolley locomotive to run.

Advantages

it has the advantages of simple structure,high electricity efficiency, low transportation cost, few failures, and easy maintenance. The cost is much lower than that of battery type, and suitable for a long distance transporation.

Mining Dual Power Electric Locomotive

Compared with the battery type locomotive, the trolley locomotive have a narrow range use. It can reduce the turnouts and overhead lines in the yard, simplify the transportation system, and solve the problem of the overhead line locomotive directly driving the tunnel head and the mining area. And when the power is off, it can still operate normally.

Advantages

1.No matter infrastructure mines or production mines, vertical shaft mining or flat-hole mining; alternate production levels, or extended roadway excavation can be applied. It can undertake both the main transportation task and the auxiliary transportation task.

2.The locomotive can pass the loading point smoothly, and the locomotive does not have to make a detour, thus saving the loading time. The overhead line can be used to automatically charge the battery power supply device during operation to increase the running time of the locomotive. The floating charging method can also improve the service life of the battery.

Motor Technology

40 years of motor manufacturing and production experience

The motor armature adopts argon arc welding process, which greatly improves the temperature rise compared with traditional soldering, and the motor is more durable.

The insulation material adopts the F or H level, the quality is guaranteed.Two vacuum pressure dipping to ensure complete penetration of the insulating paint, more moisture proof and pressure resistance.

Motor test

The motor has to go through many inspection procedures before leaving the factory, and each motor has to be carried out with load running experiments.

Explosion-proof motors are carried out with water pressure test. All the test of motor is to ensure that can adapt to harsh working conditions.

Gearbox adjustment

 

Our locomotive requires the gear anastomosis surface to reach more than 80%, far exceeding the standard.

More efficient transmission, lower noise and longer gear life.

Factory test 1

Before running the locomotive, carry out position debugging, lighting test, gear and brake adjustment ect.

Factory test 2

 

1.Carry out a tensile test before leaving the factory to ensure the load performance of the locomotive meets the standard. Our design standards generally exceed the national standard by 10%-20%.

2. Carry out different type running tests before leaving the factory to ensure the performance and normal operation of the whole locomotive. It can adapt to various harsh conditions under simulated working conditions.

Locomotive Controller

Three controller methods could be choose:

1. the resistance speed control, to control the speed by changing the resistance value, the DC motor works, the commutation and speed regulation work with copper contact points, which has a short life and is easy to burn out.

2. Chopper speed control(IGBT control), stepless speed control, using chopper speed control technology, adding digital voltage display module and lighting power module, and the control switch of the electronic horn, the control switch of the front and rear lights are built in the chopper driver controller, which is easy to operate.

3. frequency conversion speed control(AC control), using frequency conversion control technology, control inverter circuit to convert DC power to AC power, control AC frequency conversion motor, the whole machine has no contacts, greatly extending the service life.

Locomotive Battery

There are three types of locomotive power supply options: ordinary lead-acid battery for locomotive, maintenance-free

battery for locomotive, and lithium battery for locomotive.

1. Ordinary lead-acid power supply needs to be charged with acid and water. The charging time is up to 8-10 hours, the

working time is 8 hours, and the service life is 1-2 years.

2. The maintenance-free power supply requires no water for charging, so the maintenance is simple. The charging time

also takes about 8-9 hours, the working time is 8 hours, and the service life is 1-2 years.

3. Lithium power supply does not need to add water and is maintenance-free. It can be fully charged in 2-3 hours, working

time is more than 8 hours, and the service life is 5-8 years.

 

Safety brake system

 

A variety of braking methods are available: pneumatic braking, hydraulic braking, electrical braking, and mechanical braking.

And according to the special mines of coal mines, gas breaker can be equipped as a optional.

Frame and suspension system

Professionally designed and adjusted frame ensures safe driving and avoids falling off rails. Suspension shock absorber system to make you enjoy the comfort of the car.

 Customization and modification

We provide customized production of locomotives for many customers, such as: battery-trolley two use locomotive, special tools locomotives.

We could also provide South America Type locomotive. Electric locomotive modification is also provided, for example: locomotive control mode, ordinary resistance is changed to chopper speed(IGBT) or frequency conversion speed(AC control), ordinary mechanical brake is changed to hydraulic brake or air brake.
